Turmoil: A Strategy Game About the 19th Century Oil Rush

Turmoil is a strategy game developed by Gamious, inspired by the 19th century oil rush in North America. The game offers a tongue-in-cheek take on the simulation genre, where players take on the role of an oil entrepreneur and compete with rivals to become the mayor of the town. The game is available on Nintendo Switch, and it has just been updated to include four new languages: Russian, Chinese (simplified), Polish, and Brazilian-Portuguese.

In Turmoil, players lease land at town auctions and search for oil using a dowser, mole, or scanner. They must build rigs, create an efficient pipe network, and store the oil in silos to sell it at the best times and maximize profits. The game features a campaign mode where players build their rags-to-riches oil baron career, beat their rivals, and acquire upgrades to cope with rock, gas, and ice. In addition, players can meet the town's characters in the saloon and make shady business deals. Turmoil also features a single game mode with millions of procedurally generated levels to earn as much as possible in one year. The game offers Steam Achievements, Badges, Trading Cards, and Cloud Saving, making the gameplay even more exciting.
